Champions League: Bayern to Face PSG, Arsenal Draw Atletico in Semi-Finals After Thrilling Quarter-Finals

The semi-final lineup of the UEFA Champions League is now set, with Bayern Munich taking on Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal facing Atletico Madrid.

Bayern secured their place after a dramatic 6-4 aggregate victory over Real Madrid in a high-scoring encounter.

The match started at a blistering pace, with Arda Guler putting Real Madrid ahead in the opening minute. Bayern responded quickly, equalising just five minutes later through Aleksandar Pavlovic. Güler struck again midway through the first half to restore Madrid’s lead, but Harry Kane levelled once more for the German side.

Before halftime, Kylian Mbappe made it 3-2 for Real Madrid, capping off an electrifying first half.

The second half brought more drama, as Eduardo Camavinga, introduced from the bench, was sent off in the 86th minute after receiving two yellow cards. Bayern took full advantage in the closing stages, scoring twice through Luis Diaz and Michael Olise to seal qualification.

In the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, Bayern had already gained the upper hand with a 2-1 win.

Elsewhere, Arsenal progressed after a goalless 0-0 draw against Sporting CP in London, having secured a narrow 1-0 victory in the first leg.

Earlier, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid also booked their places in the semi-finals.

The semi-final matches are scheduled for April 28–29 and May 5–6, with the final set to take place on May 30 in Budapest.
